Tuesday Prayer: Walking by Faith

Father, four days remain. Joshua marched around Jericho for six days seeing no progress. Day seven the walls fell. If he'd quit on day six declaring "this isn't working," he'd have missed victory by one day. I'm on day twenty-seven of October. Four days remain. What if walls are scheduled to fall on day thirty or thirty-one?
Help me walk by faith, not sight. What I see discourages me - no visible progress, no obvious breakthrough, no dramatic change. But what you see encourages you. You're working purposes I can't observe. Delayed breakthrough isn't denied breakthrough. Keep me faithful for four more days whether I see results or not.
You accomplished extraordinary things in creation's first four days. You can accomplish extraordinary things in October's final four days. But only if I keep obeying despite not seeing, keep trusting despite delays, keep walking by faith instead of sight. Four days. I'll complete them faithfully.
Your evening prayer will be waiting for you right here when you check back in.
