Mary and Martha sent urgent word to Jesus: "Lord, the one you love is sick" (John 11:3). Their brother Lazarus was dying, and they knew Jesus could heal him. They'd seen him heal strangers; surely he'd come immediately for his close friend. But Jesus didn't come. He stayed where he was for

I have plans for you - plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Not vague intentions or uncertain possibilities, but actual plans. I know where you're going even when you can't see the path. Trust My plans. They're better than yours.

Father, I confess I'm obsessed with "what if" thinking. What if this happens? What if that goes wrong? What if I can't handle it? I'm suffering from problems that don't exist, exhausting myself over hypothetical disasters, drowning in anxiety about futures that may never arrive. I'm not tr

"What if I lose my job?" "What if my kids make bad choices?" "What if the diagnosis is cancer?" "What if my spouse leaves?" "What if the economy collapses?" The anxious mind generates endless disaster scenarios, each one feeling urgent and real despite being purely hypothetical. You're suf

Don't worry about tomorrow - tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. I give you grace for today's challenges, not tomorrow's hypotheticals. Stop borrowing anxiety from the future. Focus on trusting Me today. That's all I'm asking.

You're halfway through July, deep in summer's peak heat. The novelty of summer has worn off, vacation feels distant (either long past or still far ahead), and there's still half the month remaining before August brings any change. This mid-point of mid-summer requires endurance - not the d

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not in my own power, not through my own wisdom, not by my own strength - but through Christ. Whatever you're facing, I'm sufficient for it. Whatever requires doing, I'll provide strength for it. Trust My strength, not yours.

Father, I'm trapped by my past. I confessed my failures to you, received your forgiveness, yet I still define myself by what I did wrong. My worst moments play on repeat in my mind. I believe I'm permanently disqualified because of past mistakes. I can't forgive myself even though you've f
